The story follows a lonely eight-year-old girl who remains the sole survivor of a mysterious home invasion she attributes to a creature living beneath her bed. Desperate to rescue her family from this “dust realm,” she teams up with her neighbor, a reclusive and grizzled monster hunter with a tragic past. Together, they navigate a surreal, nightmare landscape where household grime and discarded memories manifest as lethal predators, forcing the girl to confront her deepest fears to bring her family home.
