While the soldiers fight their local battle, the world above is watching a “suspected asteroid” break apart in the atmosphere. I don’t get why the filmmakers chose to intertwine the asteroid plotline with the soldiers’ battle. It felt like a separate narrative.

@Maja I agree. It kinda took away from the main story.

The battle scenes in this film are heart-pumping. The tension is palpable, and you feel like you’re right there with the soldiers.

Wait, did I miss something or did they not explain the asteroid plotline anywhere?

I’m still trying to process the themes of the movie… feels like it’s stuck with me a few days after.

This is probably going to sound weird, but I wish there was more character development for certain characters…

Just… I don’t even know. That twist at the end? Totally didn’t see it coming. I think?

‘War Machine’ expertly weaves together the chaos of war with the outside world’s distraction of a potential asteroid breakup. The reveal of the machine was both haunting and thought-provoking.

Loved the symbolism of the machine in the woods, it’s like the war is something we’ve been ignoring and it’s finally being exposed.

I loved how the film explored the themes of paranoia and mistrust among the soldiers. It really added to the sense of tension and unease throughout the movie.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the twist at the end. The machine in the woods is just a cover for the real threat, the asteroid breaking apart in the atmosphere.

Who else felt like the soldiers were just pawns in a much larger game? The way the film showed how they were being manipulated from above was so unsettling.
