Meanwhile, the enigmatic Dr. Ian Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) continues his solitary work at the titular “Bone Temple,” an ossuary built from the remains of the fallen. In a shocking turn, Kelson develops a tentative bond with an Alpha infected named Samson. Through a regimen of music (ranging from Duran Duran to Iron Maiden) and experimental drug cocktails, Kelson attempts to “wake” the man inside the monster. Their unique relationship leads to a breakthrough that could change the world—or lead to Kelson’s ultimate sacrifice.
